Speed Tour Sprintcars Debut on SpeedCast.tv Live From Meridian Speedway

The Speed Tour Winged Sprint Cars thunder to the season-opening green flag Saturday, May 16, on SpeedCast.tv.  Live from Meridian Speedway, the fastest short track racers in the West take to the tight quarter-mile asphalt oval for a two-part production of the Speed Tour Sprint Cars, presented by Pit Stop USA.

The claustrophobic confines of Meridian Speedway produce a laundry list of challenges for the Speed Tour Winged Sprint Cars, the most consistent of which is lapped traffic.  With space at a premium there has traditionally been nowhere for slower cars to hide, which is especially problematic when one wrong move can find the leader pinned behind a slower car.

Or worse.

Three men conquered the track affectionately referred to as the Concrete Jungle in the Speed Tour’s debut season.  Kyle Alberding, Speed Tour Rookie of the Year Hunter Stanley, and overall Speed Tour Sprint Car champion Colton Nelson look to build last year’s success into 2020 championship runs.  They’ll have two chances to bring home one of Meridian Speedway’s coveted Feature Flags on Saturday.

Due to restrictions stemming from Idaho’s COVID-19 response, Saturday’s events will be closed to the public.  Live flag-to-flag coverage of both race events will be available for purchase at SpeedCast.tv.  The early event will begin at 1 p.m. Mountain Time, the late event streams live at 6 p.m. Mountain Time.

We’ll see you Saturday, May 16, on SpeedCast.tv for the Speed Tour Sprint Cars, presented by Pit Stop USA.
