$10K to Win Pink Lady Classic to Settle Speed Tour Title Raceadmin
The richest Speed Tour Sprint Car race on record goes green this Friday and Saturday, September 25 and 26, as Meridian Speedway hosts the 2020 Pink Lady Classic. The Speed Tour Sprint Cars go wheel-to-wheel on the asphalt quarter-mile for both a $10,000 payday and the 2020 season championship.
The Pink Lady Classic begins Friday, with qualifying, heat races, and the Elliott Sportsman Classic on Project Filter Wear Orange to Win Night. These races will set the field for Saturday night’s Speed Tour Sprint Car Finale.
The season-ending battle takes place in the tight confines of Meridian Speedway, a quick, quarter-mile asphalt oval. Known as the Concrete Jungle, the track offers two-groove racing, but very little space for lapped traffic to lay over if need be. Experience slicing through a crowded race track may well be the determining factor not only for the Pink Lady Classic victor, but the Speed Tour Sprint Car 2020 champion as well.
Rolling into Pink Lady Classic weekend, Casey Tillman and Bryan Warf sit alone at the top of the Speed Tour Sprint Car standings. Tillman leads Warf by a slim twelve points entering the weekend. While twelve points is far too few for anyone’s comfort, series rookie Tillman has to defend his lead against one of the premier open-wheel racers in the Northwest.
If this wasn’t enough of a challenge on its own, the $10,000 to win race has attracted an all-star roster of racers from throughout the West. With a crowded track, quick competitors, and big money up for grabs, Tillman faces a tough test if he is to keep his hold on the Speed Tour Sprint Car title.
General admission to each night of the Pink Lady Classic is just $19 for adults, $17 for seniors and military members, $7 for kids 7-11, and free for kids 6 and under. Gates open at 4:45 p.m. with racing at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are still available at www.meridianspeedway.com and, as always, live coverage will be broadcast on SpeedCast.tv. We’ll see you this Friday and Saturday, September 25 and 26, under the big yellow water tower in downtown Meridian, Idaho for the Pink Lady Classic at Meridian Speedway.
